Bringing Caribbean vibes to Montana

The Southern Caribbean islands of Bonaire, Curaçao and Aruba are all Dutch territories with multi-generational influences from various ethnic groups. The Native Indian populations had been around for hundreds of years before the Spanish first colonized them, followed closely by the Dutch. The influences from each group can be seen in the various food types, languages spoken (children are required to learn 5 languages on Curaçao!), architecture and music.

I loved the fresh produce markets, locals fishing from every dock/pier/shoreline and the vibrant colors in the clothing as well as the buildings. Each new place I visit helps me get a broader sense of our world, the customs and traditions that surround food and how that translates into a more holistic approach that I am able to bring home and teach to my own clients.
